I qualified from Cambridge University in 1989 and worked in hospitals in London, Cheltenham and Gloucester until 1993.

I became a partner here in 1995 after a short spell as a locum GP in the Algarve.

I am a trainer for GP registrars, and since 2002 have been an examiner for the RCGP.
