SERIOUS ALLERGIC REACTIONS

May be reactions to bites and stings or reactions to medicines or foods like peanuts.

Peanuts should be avoided in children 6 years or younger if they also have asthma, eczema or hay-fever regardless of whether they have had allergic reactions to them before.

Pregnant mothers with asthma or hay-fever should avoid peanuts during pregnancy and while breastfeeding.

Watch out for:-

* Swellings, especially of lips and eyelids.
* Feeling generally unwell with aches/pains.
* Difficulty in breathing and tightness of the chest or wheezing.
* Turning pale and fainting.
* Widespread itching or rash.

Discuss these with a doctor immediately.
