NOSE BLEEDS

Sit in a chair (leaning forward with your mouth open) and pinch the soft part of the nose just below the bone for about 10 minutes without checking to see if it has stopped. If it is still bleeding, try for a further 20 minutes without checking if it has stopped. Avoid hot drinks or hot food for 24 hours and avoid nose blowing or picking your nose for one week to avoid further bleeds. Further bleeds are common in the first week whilst the blood vessel heals up. If symptoms persist, consult your doctor.
